Mark your calendars for the Foundation’s 2nd annual Financial Literacy 5K

The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation’s 2nd annual Financial Literacy 5K date has been set for Saturday, July 11, once again at beautiful Lake Normandale in Bloomington (5901 West 84th Street, Bloomington MN 55431). Last year’s event drew nearly 300 credit union staff, financial education supporters and running enthusiasts for the 5K walk/run and kids’ run.



About the Financial Literacy 5K

With a strong commitment to financial education, the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation is an organization dedicated to providing the resources for credit unions and communities to prosper and thrive. In 2013, the Foundation launched its Financial Education Grant Program and an ongoing budgetary commitment to financial education. The Foundation dedicates 50 percent of its annual budget to Financial Education Grants that positively impact credit union members and communities. The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization.


Inaugural Financial Literacy 5K:  2014

The Financial Literacy 5K team award for 2014 goes to:

St. Cloud Federal Credit Union who posted an average time of 25:09.5

Congratulations to Jackie Evavold, Alexandra Jones, Alyce Justin, Jessi Paul, Phillip Paul, Cricket Vierzba and Josh Warrick! Teamsters Credit Union’s seven-person crew was second in team time at 31:17.3, followed by the Minnesota Credit Union Network’s 16-person squad at 33:20.5.
